More Than Just a Roof Over Your Head

At Well Life Services, we believe independence looks different for everyone — and that’s something to celebrate.

For many people with disability, Supported Independent Living (SIL) isn’t just about having somewhere to live — it’s about having the right support to build skills, make choices, and live life with purpose.

Here’s how SIL can be the game-changer many individuals and families are looking for — and what makes our approach stand out.

💡 What Is SIL?

Supported Independent Living is an NDIS-funded support designed for people who need help with daily tasks in a shared living arrangement. This may include things like:

  • Personal care (showering, dressing)

  • Meal preparation and cooking

  • Medication reminders

  • Household tasks

  • Social support and community access

Our SIL supports are always tailored to individual goals and needs — no cookie-cutter solutions here.

It’s About Building Skills, Not Dependence

Our goal? To help people build capacity. That means:

  • Gaining confidence in decision-making

  • Learning how to navigate day-to-day routines

  • Becoming more involved in the home and community

  • Reducing reliance on others over time

We do this through consistent, compassionate support that encourages people to try new things — and keep going, even when it’s tricky.

Why Housemate Compatibility Matters

We’ve heard it time and again — a great support worker can make a difference, but a great housemate match can change everything.

We take the time to understand each client’s communication style, interests, daily rhythm, and behavioural support needs to ensure housemates are compatible. This reduces tension, supports positive routines, and ultimately contributes to independence and wellbeing.

Our SIL Vacancy: Could This Be the Right Fit?

We currently have a SIL vacancy in Toowoomba for a client who would thrive in a calm, supported environment with a small, tight-knit household. Ideal for someone with a gentle nature, goals around daily living skills, and a desire to be part of a welcoming home.

Want to explore the home or chat about fit? Call our team or download our free SIL Home Checklist to help guide the decision-making process.

Real Growth Happens Here

Independence isn’t about doing everything alone. It’s about having the right support at the right time — and the space to grow.

If you're a Support Coordinator, family member, or potential participant looking for a SIL provider who gets it, let’s talk.

We’re ready when you are.
