Out of Home Care Ipswich and Toowoomba

Safe, stable, trauma-informed support for children and young people in out-of-home care

Structured, nurturing environments for young people

Supporting children holistically

At Well Life, we deliver trauma informed residential care through local teams across South West Queensland who are dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and young people.

Our homes offer therapeutic support and supervision in a safe, welcoming and homely environment. Many of the young people we support have lived through trauma, instability and harm. We recognise this and respond with dignity, patience and real care.

Trauma-informed, stregth based approaches

Develop life skills

We specialise in supporting children and young people with disability and those who are most vulnerable in the community.

Our teams bring passion, professional skill and intentional practice. Using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and strength-based approaches, we help children and young people build trust, regulate their emotions and develop the life skills that support confidence and connection.

Every child deserves belonging and a future that is not defined by their past. Our model of care is a therapeutic space where safety grows, identity strengthens and hope is rebuilt.

Wraparound support tailored to each individual's circumstances

What therapeutic care looks like at Well Life:

  • Calm and predictable routines

  • Support to understand and express emotions

  • Safe relationships with trusted adults

  • Guidance through tough moments using TCI

  • Encouragement to build strengths and independence

  • Culture, identity and personal goals respected and valued

Wherever appropriate, we also support reunification planning and ongoing family engagement.
